The power of adding plants to your life!

Back Yard Farming Friday!!!!

The biggest irony of my life is that I’m plant based and I have chickens that lay lots of eggs, and I’ve never eaten one!  At this point if I was ever to go back to eating animal products I don’t think I could eat eggs again, the egg/pooh hole is one in the same….

I now present to you my girls doing what they do, turn up the volume and enjoy!

  1. Great…now I’m never going to eat another egg…lol!

  2. Pity you couldn’t send them over here! Love eggs! Lol!

  3. So why do you keep the chickens?

  4. Haha! “The egg/poo hole is one and the same”. Funniest thing I’ve heard all day. I hope you sell the eggs? Or give them to people who will eat them? Your chickens look happy and healthy. Keep up the good work! :)

  5. That’s why there is a shell around the egg. You’re not supposed to lick the shell.

  6. And besides, eggs are just menstruation, chicken-style ;-) But it’s nice that you have them, because it’s not just cats and dogs who need homes. Chickens do, too! It was an amazing experience, the first time I held a chicken at an animal sanctuary.

  7. I feel the same way about eating chickens…can’t do it anymore. But, we are considering raising some chickens in our orchard for the fertilizer and to control pests. We figure it’s a win-win, since we’ve had a few chickens once before and loved them like our dogs and cats.

  8. I too have chickens in my back yard, but my chickens are good and don’t poop were the eggs are :)

  9. OH! Thank you so much for this! I miss the sound of my girls puttering around. I shall be back to listen again :)
